…Busting at the seams with bars and restaurants. Really good music scene, different genres for different tastes. Quite a few parks for chiling out and walking. Watersports on the Lagan.

...But would love to go back to belfast - the people make it what it is.

... Residing here for the last 3 years has been nothing but party, party party. Many student properties have the feel of student digs but, with a little looking, even students can find a comfortable home for just plain living - even in the most heavy party areas.

... It is the best place to get a wee cup of tea and a warm welcome. I would like to come back home, if the price is right!

The people are great, and there is a real buzz feeling around the place.

We moved here from Australia and can't believe how good it is. Our friends from London love visiting here

Word On The Street: Belfast

...you could compare it to Dublin and London. It's great to it move from its knees, and onto its feet.

P.S. I've lived here all my life and now I can see it grow and devlop itself.

I really love the city, the countryside....I really enjoy knowing that the sea is just 15 minutes away and the mountains as well. You have loads of things to do on this island and the people are very friendly, polite and helpful! Living here seems easy-going. In Germany it is all so fast and hectic! Work was also easy to get and a nice flat in the city centre as well! All together I have no regrets that I moved here and I wanna stay!

Word on the Street: Belfast

Having previously lived in Bristol and London I can say that Belfast is oddly the safest of the three cities putting aside all of the media hype.

It has its problems like all cities, but many more pluses than most other cities, especially the friendly people and relaxed atmosphere! If you've never been, give it a go, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

The people you meet are so nice and friendly. They will talk to anyone about almost anything.
It's a strange place too because its not like any other city in Britain or Ireland. People that live in Belfast have a character like Belfast. Belfast is going to be the next Berlin, you have to visit both places to understand. Words can't describe it. Geoff, London.

Word on the Street: Belfast

It's not true, we have our problems but no more than any other major city in Britain. My brother in law lives in a major city in England and says it is so much better in Belfast. I've lived here 30 years and heard one bomb (22/05/93) - I remember the date so it can't be that bad. Give it a try, it's brilliant.

...in Belfast, I love it here, it's a pity that there's sometimes trouble but when you look past that and the weather it really is a beautiful city to live in.

...but that's only the bits you see on the televison. But other than that Belfast is a great place to live - I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Word on the Street: Belfast

...but also some down sides!! Although we aren't always guaranteed good weather, it is nice to just take a walk around the town!! It has a variety of different shops and markets, and most things are cheap! I'm proud to live in Belfast!

...and a small enough city to still be personal. Friendly people and the amenities are great. Don't believe what you read in the papers about any of the trouble in Belfast in the last year or so - this has mainly happened in three of four streets in the north of the city.

Word on the Street: Belfast

...and I would have to say that it was the best thing I have ever done.
I love its young, friendly atmosphere.

Word on the Street: Belfast

...receives nothing but bad publicity. Belfast is laid back, friendly and always fun. It's a beautiful city too.

Word on the Street: Belfast

Everyone is friendly and you are guaranteed a fantastic time whether you are visiting or re-locating. I lived in London all my life (33 years) and moved to Belfast 11 months ago - something I have never regretted.
