…Its properties are some of the most expensive in the country for good reason: excellent local schools (including grammar and private), quick commute into London Marylebone by train, great shopping, award winning food at coach houses, pubs and restaurants, beautiful parks and woodlands and so much more.

There is a large Sainsburys, a Waitrose, Bekonscot Model Village, the National Film and Television School and many cafes.

The charming old town grew around coach houses, the markets and a church, and the more dynamic new town grew in the Victorian era when the railroad was built.

In general, Beaconsfield is a pleasant, leafy and friendly town with something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Great schooling, excellent shops and restaurants and the pubs are also quite good. But the social aspect is wonderful, especially for kids with good sports/recreation and loads to do. Friendly people too. Well worth the struggle!

What a great place. At first I thought it might be a bit twee but its actually quite modern with loads of wicked restaurants and pubs.
A great train service straight into London. I have used this loads.
The only downside is its sooo costly to buy property here but if you can afford it move here now. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

... born and bred but live in New Zealand (Wellington) and have done for 27-odd years. My hubby who is a Kiwi went back with me at Christmas 2000 and it was great to be back but boy, aren't house prices expensive!

Central London is only 30 minutes by train yet the town is surrounded by quiet, undisturbed countryside. Excellent schools make it a great place to live and bring up a family. Property is expensive, but hey, you have to pay for quality.
