I moved into the area four months ago and love living here...
…It is away from the bustle and hustle of London, just a couple miles away, yet within easy reach of London.
The properties are in the main all well kept, people take pride in their houses.
Great value for money, off street parking, large gardens and space.
There has to be downsides to all of this. Council tax is sky high compared to neigbouring Wandsworth. Town centre needs regenerating and please we have enough cafes. Give us an M&S or a clothes chain.

Morden is under-rated and up-and-coming ...
... Whilst Morden town centre could do with a refurb, there are some surprisingly good (and very reasonably priced) restaurants. Daily essentials are well catered for with Sainsbury's, Iceland, etc.
Morden Hall Park is easily one of the nicest parks in London. And while the area is currently lacking decent pubs, Wimbledon is 5 mins away by tram and Balham/Clapham etc 15 mins by tube. Plus, if you use the Northern Line to get to work you will always get a seat in the morning.

Nice, leafy and suburban ...
... Make sure you try and stay near the station though for good transport links. Also Morden town centre in need of regeneration – but it has essentials like supermarkets.

It has been a pleasure living in Morden for 8 years now ...
... Morden has one of the most beautiful and natural parks to boast about - the Morden Hall Park. It offers a multicultural population, the local shops take care of all necessities. It is very close to Wimbeldon town centre (5-10 mins on bus or tram)thus making it accessible to all major transport facilities.
It is away from the rush of London yet being very much part of it at the same time as it is located to the South bordering with Surrey. It is therefore a quieter, close to the countryside, yet involved, part of London.
Investment opportunities are excellent here at the moment as prices are still reasonable, but if there's a boom in the near future Morden is bound to become a hot location. Fatima Hayat

Great housing and train links - overground and underground - and also on a direct link to M25 ...
... Some fantastic parkland in the local vicinity - National Trust and others. The town centre needs a bit of money spent on it, but this is an area with huge potential that's adjacent to Wimbledon.

Morden is ok - property is good value ...
... I think this area will go through a transition (like Wimbledon 20 years ago). Investment in being poured into a new shopping centre and also construction of new flats will replace the old council properties.

I'm a first time buyer and have just moved to Lower Morden...
There's a great selection of 1930's Tudor style maisonettes and houses at reasonable prices. It's near to Raynes Park and Wimbledon but much more economic.

Morden is London's 'secret stash' of good value houses...
Here you can get a 3 bed terraced house with garden and off-street parking, within walking distance of a Tube station, with fairly good schools and in a quiet, peaceful street for under 250K. Hard to believe, but true.
Much of the housing stock is ex-local authority but doesn't look it at all - it's solid, 1930's houses perfect for 'doing up'. If you are a young family or first time buyer, you should seriously consider Morden and get in now before word gets around!

Buying in Morden is value for money!...
It offers a lot, and it is a good choice to go for a comfortable family home with a garden in a residential setting with excellent transport links for reasonable money. Wish you good luck!

I'm moving to Morden from Colliers Wood...
In Morden we'll actually have better transport (central London via Wimbledon) and we'll have a proper house with a big mature garden, in a leafy street.
Having 'immigrated' from Scotland a few years ago, I thought that the thing I'd miss out on was the security of owning a house. Not so. What Morden houses lack in frilly Victoriana, they make up for in solidity and value for money.

Living in Morden on the borders of Merton Park and Raynes Park we have the benefit of a few good friendly local shops...
...an excellent and welcoming park for the children in Mostyn Gardens and excellent travel facilities into Wimbledon - 5 minutes by train - and in addition we have saved ourselves at least 50K (all for the sake of a London postcode) by living 5 minutes down the road from Merton Park.

You can still buy an excellent terraced house with both a large garden and garage for 300K...
...the same price as a very small 2 bed property in Wimbledon. The transport is better than Wimbledon with both the tram link and Northern line. Fab.

Although we're on the outskirts of Morden (Bishopsford Rd)...
...we're only 10 minutes to Wimbledon on the Tramlink. We're also a short bus-ride from Sutton, which is great for shops, pubs, restaurants, the UCI cinema. Our flat is lovely and spacious; we're lucky as it's newly decorated. We think we're getting great value for money compared to flats in Wimbledon or even Morden town centre. A real bargain!!

I have just moved into a two bed flat...
...which is about a ten minute walk from Morden tube. Although the high street doesn't offer the facilities of nearby Wimbledon, Safeway and Iceland are very good and there are a few independent shops which have proved very handy.
Our flat is gorgeous - only five years old and on a modern development - and great value. We couldn't even find a half-decent one-bed property in neighbouring SW19 or SW20 for similar money. We may not have the London postcode but we're just a stones' throw away and have excellent transport facilities.

Very convenient for transport...
...at the same time away from 'busy' Wimbledon, good schools, decent housing. In short much better than over priced Wimbledon, Putney and Wandsworth.
