We live on the borders of Whitton and Hounslow and are in the process of buying a house near Whitton high street…
We love Whitton and have family that have lived there for twenty odd years and say they wouldn't live anywhere else.
Everything is close at hand, the people are friendly and there are so many shops that cater for all your needs.
My brother and his family have brought there family up in Whitton and wouldn't live anywhere else, so yes, Whitton here we come.

Fantastic, safe and great value for money in Richmond Borough, Whitton has it all…
…A vibrant family feel, good access to great shopping, safe and an up-and-coming high street means get in quick as prices are rising fast.

It's surprising how living here will grow on you…
...At first you feel you've compromised over the location in favour of the size of the houses in your price range. How many newer residents feel they would have preferred to have bought in Twickenham?
The community spirit, a real high street with local shop owners harks back to an era long-gone in many "Clone Towns". After a while you find yourself with a surprising contentment living here. After all, Twickenham, Teddington and Richmond are a stone's throw away.
I have a young family and still know how to have a good time and all our needs are catered for here. "I'm from Whitton!" I have no problem saying that.

Nice pleasant place to live ...
... I have now moved away to Stratford Upon Avon (work relocation) but Whitton has a nice community spirit and as a family we enjoyed the eight years spent there. Living near the high street is better for convenience and outer Whitton can be a bit tired and scruffy. Prices still good for the Richmond Borough and are reasonable in comparison although rising. My only criticism is the amount of litter seemed to be on the increase.

We moved to Whitton from Isleworth 6 months ago and really are surprised by how friendly and nice the area is ...
... The neighbours welcomed us when we moved in and the high street is safe. It’s clean (getting better by the day) and as it's part of Richmond Borough, it's clean!
House prices are shooting up and you get much more for your money here. It’s a little "gem" in the storm of decent to live areas. Whitton has it all - and Milner Drive, The Ridge and Bridge Way areas are best!

Quiet, very reasonably priced area ...
... Good main line rail connection into London. Beginning to get some nice restaurants, lots of good primary schools. Proximity to Twickenham and Richmond.

We've been here for 2 years now...
We agree with the other posts - Whitton has everything including a great community.

Whitton has everything...
Whitton has everything; All the shops you need, great schools, easy connections into London and easy out of London as well. The houses are bigger here than in Twickenham and you get off-road parking too. Having a garden is a blessing with two small kids.

We have lived in Whitton for almost 7 years...
It has a good community feel about it whilst being very close to Twickenham and Richmond for those looking for a more cosmopolitan lifestyle. The high street has everything - indeed we only shop about once a month or even less in one of the big supermarkets in the area as the Tesco Metro, Iceland, Superdrug, Boots and the many varied independent shops provide eveything we need on a day to day basis (including clothes -Spencers is one of the best cheap clothes shops I have ever come across!).
Access to central London is very easy with a half hourly service to Waterloo and if you live a little off the high street, Bats mini cabs are right outside the station. And then there's the rugby...and now they're begining to have concerts at the stadium too.

We're here for the schools and the tranquility...
Close to Hounslow, Richmond, Twickenham and Kingston, why go up town when you have it all here? Good restaurants in Teddington (try Red Peppers) and plenty of open spaces - Bushy Park is our favourite. Made lots of new friends through Chase Bridge School.

We moved to Whitton this time last year...
...and can't believe the increase in house prices since we arrived here. We are lucky to have bought when we did. Whitton's a convenient place to live (travel-wise) and has a very good Italian restaurant 'Cafe Venice' in the high street.

I lived in Whiton with my parents for 17 years until I got my own flat in Hounslow...
Hounslow has gone up in value so much that I have been able to make a huge profit and buy a three bed semi in Whitton.
Whitton is a small but busy place to live. The property price are still quire reasonable but Whitton is the next place that will rocket in prices. Now is the time to buy!
The High Street is handy but it has gone downhill in appearance over the last 10 years. If Richmond Council invest some money back on the High Street this will encourage more people to shop there rather than go to the local superstore.
Overall I would recommend Whitton as a good place to live.

We have lived in Whitton for almost three years...
...and have found it a most pleasant place to live. Local amenities are very good as are transport links into Central London and neighbouring local areas. Strong community spirit prevails and I would recommend anyone to live here. Prices are still reasonable - though rising steeply (!) in comparison to other areas in the borough.

I moved with my wife to Whitton 3 years ago....
We had been living in Twickenham until then but found the prices of garden flats very expensive. Whitton is just down the road from Twickenham and Richmond (the places we like to go out to)and our flat cost us at least 20% less at the time we bought it. Whitton's a quiet area with a decent High Street and a railway station on the Windsor - Richmond - Waterloo line.

Whitton has a great community atmosphere & once people move here they tend to stay, often trading up or down according to their needs....
We're in our 3rd home in Whitton. Did you know that there is a free quarterly newspaper called Roundabout distributed in the parish of St. Augustine, Whitton?
Whitton is under-rated because it is too near Hounslow (where no one wants to be).
Whitton has good transport links, good shops & a friendly High Street.
There is good care through Homelink and Whitton Network.

Whitton is a very family orientated village like community....
It has a nice small but adequate high street with everything you need. It has very good schools, 2 libraries a good bus service and a mainline station. I have lived in Whitton and around the area for about 10 years and think you would also find it appealing.

I've lived in Whitton for two years now having moved from nearby Twickenham where 3/4 bed houses are way out of our price range...
I always describe Whitton as pleasant and neighbourly but rather dull. There's a lovely old fashioned high street with proper range of shops - butcher, baker, fishmonger etc. and a great pub in the Admiral Nelson.
Whitton's not a trendy or particularly pretty little town but it is a safe, friendly place to bring up a family, with good schools and it's near enough to all the places that other homeowners in the Borough of Richmond pay a fortune to enjoy!
The trains from the High St station run to Waterloo 3-4 times an hour and are fairly reliable, buses to Kingston & Hounslow & Twickenham are very frequent.
I've grown fond of Whitton & have never regretted moving here.
