-
How do I register on the site?
You may register with FindaProperty.com using the "my FindaProperty" facility which
appears at the top right hand corner of each page. To register simply click the
Register button and fill in the registration details. This will enable you to view
your saved property shortlist; view and amend saved searches; set up, amend or cancel
email alerts; and view and amend the details you have entered on the site.
-

When you try to log in, you will be offered a password reminder option. All you
need to do is add in your email address and your password will be emailed to you.
-
Can I change my password?
This can be done easily in the My FindaProperty area of the site. Access through
the My FindaProperty button in the top right hand corner of the site, and go to
the tab "Personal Details" This is where you can monitor, update and amend all your
information.
-
My property search details are incorrect how can I change them?
You can do this once you reach a search results page, by adding new search criteria
and clicking "Save My Search". You can also do this in My FindaProperty – select
the "Searches and Alerts" tab, and then select the search you wish to amend, and
then click on "Amend My Search" button. You are also able to delete saved searches
from the same area by selecting the search you wish to delete and then clicking
"Delete".
-
How do I find a specific agent?
Select the estate agent tab from the top of the main page and then search for the
agent using the alphabetical listing. If you select this tab when you have already
selected a region on the site then the results you see will be for this region only.
On these pages the agent listings are in order of the number of properties they
are advertising on the site. If you do this from the home page or at the county
level then you will see a full A-Z listing of all agents who advertise on the site.
-
I can't find any properties in the area I am searching for?
Using the "Refine My Search" box on the left hand side of the search results page,
you are able to refine your search to cover a larger area, or to alter the price,
bedroom etc criteria you have selected. Alternatively you can use this box to save
your search criteria and register for email alerts. This will enable us to email
properties which match your criteria as they come onto the site.
-
Why don't all the properties have full details and photos?
FindaProperty.com encourages all our agents to provide as many details and photos
as possible on the site. However, sometimes an agent wishes to place the property
on the site as soon as they are instructed on it and they don"t always have all
the information. In these instances the properties may display with the "awaiting
photo from agent" icon. If you feel that a property doesn"t have as much information
as you would like, please mention this to the agent when you contact them to encourage
them to add more information in the future.
-
How do I do a search on FindaProperty.com, and how can I alter it?
You can search by using either the Quick Search or Refine My Search box on the left
hand side of the page. Refine My Search will show when you reach a property listings
page – at this stage you can add more details to your search, broaden your area,
specify a particular type of property, for example new homes or waterside. You can
also Save Your Search at this stage. If you choose this option you will be asked
to register your details, and your search will then be available in the My FindaProperty
area of the site regardless of which computer you are using. You can save multiple
searches, and will also be given the opportunity of registering for email alerts
on these searches to alert you when new properties come on to the site which match
your criteria. These can all be managed through the My FindaProperty area of the
site. Alternatively, you are able to search by area using the list and map drill-downs
on each page.
-
What area will my search results cover if I expand the location?
The radius for searches on FindaProperty.com is measured from the central point
of your original search. The central point is defined as the middle point between
the furthest North, South, East and West points. All searches which increase the
radius do so from the central point by the distance specified, and will always include
the original search area.
-
Why don't you recognise the location I type in?
The most common reason for this is misspellings. Double check your location to make
sure you spelt the place name or entered the postcode correctly. Alternatively try
searching using the maps or drill down lists to see if you can find the area you
are searching for.
-
How do I save a property to a shortlist?
You can save a property by clicking "shortlist" which can be done from either a
property search results page, or from a property details page. In order for your
properties to remain on your shortlist after you close your browser you will need
to register your details which will create a My FindaProperty area on the site.
This is where you can manage your properties, and have the ability to save additional
searches, set up and manage any email alerts. To review your saved properties click
on the saved properties icon in the top right hand corner of any page where you
will be asked to log in. When registering you can choose for your details to be
remembered on the site so you don"t need to log in on every visit. This will work
when you are using the same computer, but you will be asked to log in again if you
come to the site from another computer.
-
How do I arrange a viewing?
In order to arrange a viewing for a property you need to contact the agent who is
