Annual Rise In International Property Searches
- Searches for overseas property in September 2009 were ten per cent higher than in August, and 32 per cent higher than a year ago.
- The USA increased its share of searches for the fifth successive month to 19 per cent.
- Traditional overseas destinations remain the most popular searches.

Ann Wright, International Development Manager at Primelocation.com, commented: "The monthly rises are welcome but not entirely unexpected as September often sees a spike in interest as holidaymakers return from abroad.
"The very impressive growth compared to September last year, however, is a far more encouraging sign, suggesting that the underlying growth in interest in international property purchases indicated in last month's data will be sustained.
"The fact that interest is concentrated in the traditionally strong markets of France, Spain and the USA suggests a certain amount of caution remains amongst consumers, but these figures indicate that the overall outlook for the foreign homes market is very positive."
