The Guild of Professional Estate Agents
The Guild of Professional Estate Agents
What is the Guild?
The Guild of Professional Estate Agents is an organisation consisting only of independent estate agents.
They choose their members and work on the basis of picking only one estate agent in a given area.
They are chosen because the Guild believes them to be the best in that area.
So your area should have only one member of the Guild acting as their representative.
What does it mean for me?
Guild members are awarded membership because they are considered experts in the local market place, and therefore should know best how to sell or let property in your area.
Estate agents offices belonging to the Guild work on a referral scheme to help maximise exposure of your home. So if another office in another area has a client looking to move to your area, they will pass your property details on to potential buyers.
How am I protected?
Guild Members adhere to The Guild's strict Code of Conduct and are covered by Professional Indemnity of up to £1M.
The Guild ensures that all members participate in either The Ombudsman Scheme of Estate Agents or are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
