France: Vendee - Western Loire This well established semi rural mobile home park is located in the Vendee just a 20 minute drive from St. Gilles Croix de Vie on the west coast of France and miles of sandy beaches. The "mini climate of the Vendee enjoys 2600 hours of sunshine a year. The local French village is just a 20 minute walk away and amenities there include a pharmacy, convenience store, bakers, restaurants and bars. A huge freshwater lake provides not only the opportunity for fishing but also for lots of fun with and various types of boats for hire. A tour round the ancient chateau is a must. St Gilles Croix de Vie on the coast has a harbour, wonderful beaches, fresh produce markets, shops, supermarkets and many bars and restaurants with the chance to try the local sea food dishes.
